Coastal Modelling

 

Coastal Modelling consists of all those analyses, always more frequently used, based on numerical simulations which have to reproduce processes and phenomena occurring on coastal areas. Simulations can focus on a large variety of demands and their results represent a suitable tool to support policy decisions. Numerical models, even though need to be calibrated with field measurements, have the great advantange to be continuous in space/time and to forecast future trends also for large scale areas.
