Cameras (video-monitoring)

 

Low-cost video monitoring systems are used to monitor the shoreline response to storm events, wave motion or nourishment operations on beaches. Shoreline position is derived from video records focusing on specific parameters such as dry beach width, beach orientation, etc. Video-monitoring is also used to study the evolution of beach dunes with regards to the vegetation, slope variation, dune toe regression. etc. Here are shown some study sites where the COSTUF group has recently worked on.
