The Department

The Department

The Department of Physics and Earth Sciences at the University of Ferrara combines expertise and excellence in the fields of Physics and Earth Sciences.

Research activities are carried out in synergy with national and international research institutions, local authorities, and leading companies in the fields of Physics and Earth Sciences.

The educational offering includes two Bachelor's Degree Programs (Physics and Geological sciences), two double-degree Master's programs (Physics and Geological sciences, georesources and territory), and two international doctoral programs (Physics and Earth and marine sciences).

The Department is also involved in numerous third mission activities, including public engagement and technology transfer initiatives.
