Internazionalization

For students who choose our study and PhD programs, diverse opportunities exist to expand their academic and professional horizons through internationalization initiatives.

Dual Master's Degree

  • Physics 
    Students have the opportunity to obtain a double degree with the University of Paris-Saclay (France) by attending courses in Ferrara and Paris and earning degrees from both institutions. The study program focuses on both fundamental and applied physics and includes bilingual tutoring and personalized language support.
  • Geological Sciences, Georesources and Territory
    In collaboration with the University of Cadiz (Spain), this program allows students to specialize in the integrated management of coastal areas, offering a two-year curriculum that includes courses and practical activities in both Italy and Spain.

The PhD program in Physics also offers an international double degree pathway in partnership with the H. Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences (IFJ PAN), Kraków, Poland. PhD candidates enrolled in the double degree program have a tutor from each institution (one Italian and one Polish). The final examination for the attainment of the double degree involves members from both academic boards. Participants in the international double degree program are required to spend at least six months abroad during the three-year duration of their doctoral studies.

Ferrara School of: the diplomas “School of Physics and “School of Earth Science are awarded to students who complete a high-level master's degree program with a strong international focus and an excellent command of at least one foreign language.

Our study programs also participate in the international programs offered by the University of Ferrara:

  • Erasmus+ Studio 
    This program allows students to study abroad in member countries of the European Union and other participating countries, with full recognition of the academic credits earned abroad.
  • Atlante 
    Atlante A supports study stays at extra-European partner universities of the University of Ferrara, while Atlante B allows stays at extra-European institutions independently chosen by students. Both options support activities such as courses, exams, internships, and Thesis preparation.
