Qualification Training Programs

The Qualification Training Programs, together with the national public competitive exam and the one-year probationary period in service, represent an essential step for those wishing to pursue a teaching career in secondary schools (I and II levels).

These programs are regulated by Italian Law No. 79 of 2022 and the Prime Ministerial Decree (DPCM) of August 4, 2023, which establish the criteria for accrediting training programs, the content of the educational offer and admission requirements, the organization of teaching and internship activities, enrollment costs, and the criteria and procedures for the qualifying final exam.

The objective is to provide initial training that prepares teachers not only from a subject knowledge perspective but also in pedagogical and relational skills.

The Department of Physics and Earth Sciences coordinates and delivers specific courses for the following competition classes (accreditation decree no. 358 of February 7, 2024):

  • A027 – Mathematics and Physics
  • A028 – Mathematics and Science
  • A050 – Natural Sciences, Chemistry, and Biology
